Abstract

Trabajo fin de Máster dirigido por Javier Gómez Limón. Biotopo Selva Húmeda es una Reserva Natural de la Sociedad Civil con un área de alrededor de 2.000 hectáreas, cerca del 99% del área está cubierta de bosque natural heterogéneo en buen estado de conservación. Está ubicada en el Sur de Colombia, departamento de Nariño, municipio de Barbacoas. Está destinada a la conservación estricta de la integridad ecológica y la biodiversidad. El Área protegida captura alrededor de 6.720.000 toneladas de Carbono) por año. El Plan de Manejo (PMA) integra a los actores sociales locales con el capital natural, mediante estrategias de Sostenibilidad Socio Ecológica y participación comunitaria con base en 12 programas y el cumplimiento de 5 objetivos: 1. Asegurar la integridad ecológica y la biodiversidad de la Reserva Natural y su zona de amortiguación; 2. Lograr mayor sentido de pertenencia y reconocimiento de los pobladores locales y potenciar su participación en los programas del Área protegida; 3. Fomentar el conocimiento científico básico y aplicado de la biodiversidad y los ecosistemas del Área protegida 4. Buscar la Integración de políticas de apoyo a la gestión del Área Protegida y apoyo financiero de la cooperación nacional e internacional; 5. Integrar la Reserva Natural a las políticas locales y regionales El PMA se dirige a la construcción social de la paz desde lo ambiental, privilegiando el respeto a los Derechos Humanos, como condición esencial para la pervivencia de las comunidades a un hábitat protegido y conservado // Biotopo Rain Forest is a Natural Reserve of the civil society, it covers an area of around 2.000 hectares; near of the 99% of the area is covered of heterogeneous natural wood in good shape of conservation. It`s located in the south of Colombia, department of Nariño, municipality of Barbacoas. The reserve is devoted to the strict conservation of the ecological integrity and the biodiversity. The protected area captures around of 6.720.000 tons of carbon (CO2) per year. The Control Plan (CP) integrates the social local actors with the natural capital through strategies of socio-ecological sustainability and community involvement based in twelve programs and the achievement of five objectives: To ensure the ecological integrity and the biodiversity of the Nature Reserve Biotopo Rain Forest and its buffer zone; 2. To achieve a greater sense of belonging and recognition from the local people to the (BZ) and enhance their participation in the programs of the protected area; 3. To promote basic and applied scientific knowledge of biodiversity and ecosystems of the protected area and apply scientific knowledge to the conservation of biodiversity and ecosystems of the protected area and the buffer zone (BZ); 4. To seek integration of support policies to the course of the protected area and financial support from national and international cooperation; 5. To integrate the Nature Reserve Biotopo Rain Forest to the territorial ordering policies of the municipality of Barbacoas and the regional development plan. The CP is directed to the social construction of peace from an environmental sense, prioritizing the respect of human rights; as an essential condition for the survival of the inhabitants to a protected and preserved environment.
