Narrativas de profesores: reflexiones en torno al desarrollo personal y profesional

Abstract

Este es un libro de narrativas y sobre el potencial formativo de las narrativas. En su trama, se entrecruzan historias reales sobre la Escuela, en sus distintas dimensiones, contadas por profesores y recogidas en el Máster Interuniversitario sobre “La investigación en la enseñanza y el aprendizaje de las Ciencias Experimentales, Sociales y Matemáticas” realizado en colaboración por las Universidades de Huelva, Extremadura e Internacional de Andalucía. Las historias fueron agrupadas en secciones de acuerdo con sus temas predominantes. En cada una de estas secciones, así como en la sección final de reflexiones sobre la narrativa, el conjunto de narrativas esta acompañado de comentarios de especialistas en educación (de diferentes nacionalidades y formaciones académicas) y de participantes en el Master Interuniversitario sobre el contenido de las historias. Estos comentarios de carácter libre (reacciones personales al conjunto de las tramas) traducen mecanismos de aproximación e identificación con las situaciones descritas. En cada comentario, su autor atribuye un sentido al conjunto de narrativas que analizó y se apropia de su contenido de una manera muy particular (a través del filtro de sus propios conocimientos y experiencias), tomando de esas historias los aspectos que considera más significativos. De esta forma, se ilustra el gran potencial de las narrativas como fuente de inspiración y conocimiento, estimulando los lectores a reflexionar profundamente sobre sus vidas y su profesión. Este libro se destina a contextos de formación inicial y permanente de profesores en los cuales se aborden temáticas tan distintas como la misión de la escuela en la sociedad actual, los fundamentos sociales y psicológicos de la educación, el currículo y la instrucción, la iniciación a la práctica profesional, el conocimiento y el desarrollo profesional de los docentes, o el potencial educativo e investigativo de las narrativas.

This is a book about narratives and their training potential. In its plot, there are intersections of true stories about the school in its various dimensions, told by teachers and included in the Inter-University Master on ”Research in teaching and learning of Experimental Sciences, Social Sciences and Mathematics”, which is conducted jointly by the University of Huelva, the University of Extremadura and the International University of Andalusia. The stories were grouped in sections according to their predominant themes. In each of these sections, as well as in the final section about reflections on the narrative, each narrative is accompanied by comments of experts on education (of different nationalities and academic training) and of participants in the Inter-University Master on the content of the stories. These free comments (personal reactions to the whole set of plots) point out mechanisms of approximation and identification with the described situations. In every comment, the author attributes a sense to the set of narratives analyzing and taking over its contents in a very particular way (through the filter of their own knowledge and experience), only taking from the stories those aspects s/he considers the most significant. In this way, it is proved the great potential of narratives as a source of inspiration and knowledge, encouraging readers to deeply reflect about their lives and their profession. This book is intended for contexts of initial and permanent teacher training which addresses topics as diverse as the mission of the school in today's society, the social and psychological foundations of education, the curriculum and instruction, the initiation into professional practice, the knowledge and the professional development of teachers, or the educational and investigative potential of narratives.
