Emigración clandestina a Nueva España en el siglo XVII : una revisión a través del censo de 1688

El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar el fenómeno migratorio clandestino que se produjo entre España y el virreinato de Nueva España durante el siglo XVII. Tratar de comprender quiénes eran estos migrantes, de dónde venían, cómo viajaban, cómo regularizaron su estancia en la colonia, a qué multas se enfrentaban y, en la medida de lo posible, intentar cuantificar esa migración que raramente quedó registrada en documentos oficiales.

The objective of this work is to analyze the clandestine migratory phenomenon that occurred between Spain and the Viceroyalty of New Spain during the 17th century. Try to understand who these migrants were, where they came from, how they traveled, how they regularized their stay in the colony, what fines they faced and, as far as possible, try to quantify this migration that was rarely recorded in official documents
