Sumak Kawsay : la cosmovisión del buen vivir en Ecuador

Abstract

Esta investigación se realiza ya que la situación actual del mundo ha hecho evidente que el sistema actual de organización mundial no asegura una vida digna para todos los seres humanos. De este modo es necesario buscar alternativas para establecer un modo de vida que garantice el bienestar de la especie humana y que proteja toda la vida en el planeta. Es así que en este trabajo el objeto de estudio es la cosmovisión indígena del Buen Vivir (Sumak Kawsay) en Ecuador, siendo una alternativa a la concepción occidental de la vida y de desarrollo. Con este trabajo se busca aportar conceptos no hegemónicos en el ámbito académico. El objetivo de esta investigación es fomentar el conocimiento de la ontología indígena del Buen Vivir. La hipótesis de partida es que la organización y el modo de vida Occidental no permite un desarrollo integral de la humanidad. El método utilizado para realizar este trabajo de investigación es la revisión bibliográfica y los resultados se obtienen por medio del análisis de la fuentes consultadas. Los resultados obtenidos tras esta investigación demuestran que han existido avances en torno a la garantía y protección de derechos de los pueblos indígenas. La incorporación del Sumak Kawsay en la Constitución del Ecuador incentivó un cambio en el país, sin embargo, esta norma jurídica no fue suficiente para cambiar el modelo económico, ya que es necesario que los gobernantes y la sociedad civil se integren en el proceso de transformación para que este continúe.

This research is carried out since the current situation in the world has made it clear that the current system of world organization does not ensure a dignified life for all human beings. In this way, it is necessary to look for alternatives to establish a way of life that guarantees the welfare of the human species and protects all life on the planet. Thus, in this work the object of study is the indigenous worldview of Good Living (Sumak Kawsay) in Ecuador, being an alternative to the Western conception of life and development. This work seeks to contribute non-hegemonic concepts in the academic field. The objective of this research is to promote knowledge of the indigenous ontology of Good Living. The starting hypothesis is that the Western organization and way of life does not allow an integral development of humanity. The method used to carry out this research work is the bibliographic review and the results are obtained through the analysis of the consulted sources. The results obtained after this investigation show that there have been advances regarding the guarantee and protection of the rights of indigenous peoples. The incorporation of Sumak Kawsay into the Constitution of Ecuador encouraged a change in the country, however, this legal norm was not enough to change the economic model, since it is necessary for the rulers and civil society to be integrated in the transformation process for this to continue.
