The microorganism, like bacteria, have are incredible able to colonize new environments and surfaces by protection given by the biofilm. Although, researchers have spent decades studying their way of life and growth yet there are still many answers to be found. This thesis aims to give some information to the discussion between the different theories that try to explain the different mechanism that control the bacterial growth and division. This thesis tries to prove, by using techniques of Individual based modelling (IbM) in Pseudomonas putida and distinct simulated scenarios, the differences, if they exist, produced in the colonies depending of which growth homeostatic mechanism, proposed in the literature, was used: Adder or Sizer. It was also taken in account both types of growth bacteria can use, linear or exponential. The results show how the growth models do not create a distinct difference between them, as it can be explained by the statistical noise. However, the parameter Γ, created to control the effect of the diffusion and the growth rate, did create significant differences in the structure and morphology of the colonies.en
