Trabajo académicoAutomatización Robótica de Procesos (RPA) en la cadena de suministro y logística(Universidad Internacional de Andalucía, 2024) Hurtado, Facundo José; Hurtado, Facundo JoséMáster Universitario en Logística y Gestión de Operaciones (2023/24). Tutor: Dr. D. Jesús Muñuzuri Sanz. This study focuses on exploring how the implementation of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) in the supply chain can drive efficiency and logistics management. By analyzing supply chain processes, key areas are identified where automation could generate benefits such as reducing response times, minimizing errors, and optimizing resources. The challenges and important considerations for a successful RPA implementation are examined, including integration with existing systems, information security, and staff training. Finally, we define the phases for a proper RPA project implementation and develop a concrete example of tool implementation.
The land transportation of dangerous goods presents significant challenges due to its complexity and associated risks. Therefore, it is crucial to develop performance indicators that effectively monitor logistics activities in this sector. These indicators, structured under the SMART model, must be specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and timely to provide a detailed insight into the logistics process and help identify recurring issues affecting response times. The research methodology includes a comprehensive literature review on the importance of KPI’s in logistics, as well as the study of the ADR Agreement and sector surveys to identify challenges and best practices. Furthermore, key activities such as order creation, approval, and delivery have been defined, each with respective KPI’s to assess average times, customer and destination shares, and efficiency in document management. These efforts aim not only to enhance operational efficiency and safety but also to strengthen companies' relationships with their stakeholders and comply with international regulatory standards.
