Resumen
Memoria descriptiva bajo la dirección de Felipe González y Rianaldo Pérez. An approach to the analysis of multispectral data for the purpose of surface compositional mapping is presented. We use different remote sensing techniques to analyze two images of the systems Landsat 7 ETM+ and Terra ASTER in Rodalquilar caldera complex, Almeria, SE Spain. The analysis of these two images shows diverse areas of intense alteration. The higher spectral resolution within the Short Wave Infrared Region (SWIR) of the ASTER image permits further differentiation of nearly-concentric alteration zones dominated by different mineral associations. In general terms, the information supplied by the remote sensing analysis accords well with the alteration map proposed by previous authors. Virtually the entire sets of techniques applied provided excellent results.
