Trabajo Fin de Máster Oficial en Geología y Gestión Ambiental de los Recursos Minerales (2023-24). Tutor: Dr. D. Felipe Jesús González Barrionuevo. This study focuses on identifying hydrothermal alteration zones within the Rodalquilar epithermal gold deposit using hyperspectral images from the Hyperion system. Two techniques are developed to extract endmembers of characteristic mineral alteration species from argillic and propylitic alteration zones. Furthermore, the results are compared with previous field mapping efforts and other studies employing multispectral images. This comparison showcases the capabilities of analysis using this technique to effectively differentiate between various mineral phases. The results show concentric distribution of the alteration mineral species, a characteristic feature of this type of deposits.en
